Health Education department is to teach and train the postgraduate students of the institute. It also coordinates with all the other departments to plan, prepare and launch health education programs in the community for creating awareness and prepare the community to prevent illness and promote better health.
Teaching and Training Activities
Postgraduate
The Department of Health Education teaches and train medical and dental graduates in the field of Health Education and Promotion. The graduates belong to the following courses:
- MPhil Community Medicine
- Master of Maternal and Child Health (MMCH)
- Master of Hospital Management (MHM)
- Master of Public health (MPH)
Undergraduate
The department of Health Education is playing an important role in teaching and training paramedics in the field of Health Education and Promotion. These paramedics belong to Sanitary Inspector, Dental Hygienist and Dietitians courses.
Research Activities
Faculty members supervise research dissertations and reports of postgraduate students. Department is always ready to contribute and help students and all faculty members if they need any help/ expertise of the department to carry out their research projects. Undergraduate students are helped and guided in their field trainings as well.
Evaluation
The faculty plays an active role in internal and external evaluations of postgraduate and undergraduate students. Faculty members are the internal and external examiners of University of Health Sciences and BISE Lahore.
