Biostatistics Department

The department of Biostatistics is a pivotal component of this teaching matrix in postgraduate and undergraduate course at Institute of Public Health.

Postgraduate Teaching Activities
The department of Biostatistics is contributing teaching of biostatistics to the medical and dental graduates in the course of Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Maternal & Child Health (MMCH), Master of Hospital Management (MHM), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Community Medicine and Fellowship of Community Medicine. This teaching capacity building enables the students for handling research programs, public health management activities and teaching public health. The resultant out come of this program is public health managers and public health teachers.

Undergraduate Teaching Activities
For the undergraduate level, the department of Biostatistics contributes in teaching of the subject of biostatistics to paramedics in the courses of F.Sc Medical Lab, Technology (F.Sc MLT), B.Sc Medical Lab, Technology (B.Sc MLT), Sanitary Inspectors, Dietitians and Dental Hygienist.

Evaluation
University of Health Science (UHS), Punjab Medical Faculty (PMF) and Lahore Board (BISE) is examining body of postgraduate and undergraduate programs. The faculty of the department is kept in engagement with examinations of respective examining bodies in different courses.

Research Activities
Faculty supervises the research dissertations of postgraduate students and report of undergraduate students. At individual level research publications falls in credit of faculty members.
